Crispy Pita Garlic Chips

4 large pita breads

1/4 cup olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the Pita: Cut each pita bread into six wedges, resembling pizza slices.

      Make the Garlic Oil: In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and let it sauté gently for about 2-3 minutes, just until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic brown. Remove from heat.

        Season the Chips: In a large bowl, combine the pita wedges and pour the garlic oil over them. Sprinkle in the sea salt, smoked paprika (if using), black pepper, and dried oregano. Toss well to ensure all the wedges are coated evenly.

          Arrange for Baking: Spread the pita wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure there’s enough space between the chips to allow for even crisping.

            Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them as they can burn quickly.

              Cool Down: Once out of the oven, let the chips cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. They will become even crispier as they cool.
