Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried parsley

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Pizza Dough: If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes. This will make it easier to work with.

Cut the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope, about 8 inches long.

Knot the Dough: Take one rope and form a knot by looping it around itself and tucking the end underneath. Place the knot on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough pieces.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Brush the Knots: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each knot. Reserve some of the butter for later use.

Sprinkle with Parmesan: If using, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the knots for an extra layer of flavor.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and fragrant.

Finish with Garlic Butter: Once out of the oven, brush the remaining garlic butter over the knots for an even more delicious finish.

Serve Warm: Allow the knots to cool for a minute or two, then serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping, if desired.
